The properties <br />are immediately north of the former EMI building located at 2020 South Main Street. <br />The property at 2014 South Main is a marginally improved lot with some paved surface and <br />a large McDonald's sign on the corner of the lot. The sign advertises the McDonald's <br />restaurant located on South Michigan Street. Retention of the sign in an easement is a <br />condition of purchase as stated by the owner. The property appraised at an average value <br />of $5,840.00. Staff requests approval of Resolution 2747 to set the acquisition offering <br />price for 2014 S Main Street at $5,840.00. <br />The property at 2018 South Main Street is a dirt/gravel lot that has been traditionally used <br />as overflow parking for adjacent businesses. The lot is unimproved and shares a common <br />border with the EMI property. The main entrance door of EMI and staircase is on the <br />property line between the two parcels. The property appraised at an average value of <br />$5,200.00. Staff requests approval of Resolution 2748 to set the acquisition offering price <br />for 2018 S Main Street at $5,200.00. <br />What We Do Today Makes A Difference! <br />
