Kendall St Phase I(
Date: July 23, 2010
The attached Professional Services Agreement is a proposal from Phifer Environmental
Services for a Phase II site assessment for 1521 / 1527 S. Kendall St.
A Phase I was completed by Phifer Environmental for this property on June 21, 2010, which
revealed certain Recognized Environmental Conditions. A Phase II is recommended to
ensure the building's historic and current use, as an auto body and repair /service shop,
have not contaminated surrounding soil.
This proposal includes doing four Geoprobe soil borings, to a depth of 20 feet, for laboratory
testing. These four soil boring sites will then be used to gather ground water, which will
also be tested. This data will then be reviewed and compiled into the Phase II report, with
an opinion given whether further site assessment is needed.
Total project services cost is a not to exceed of $4,745.
Staff requests approval of this Professional Services Agreement, to allow a Phase II
environmental site assessment to be completed for this property.
What We Do Today Makes A Difference!
