The
subject parcel was added to the South Side Development Area Acquisition List by
Resolution No. 2337 on May 19, 2006.
The proposed acquisition property is located at 4215 South Main Street and has a single
family structure located on the parcel. The acquisition of the parcel is necessary to facilitate
streetscape and corridor improvements within the Erskine Hills Shopping District and to
allow for the future construction of the Main-Lafayette connector project. The acquisition of
this property will facilitate many of the goals and objectives detailed in the South Side
Development Area Development Plan.
The staff obtained two independent appraisals for the property and the average of the two is
Seventy-Nine Thousand Five Hundred ($79,500.00) Dollars. If approved by the
Redevelopment Commission, a purchase offer will be sent to the property owner at the
aforementioned amount.
Staff requests approval of this resolution.
What We Do Today Makes A Difference!
