It highlights some of the Committee's <br /> activities involving zoning and special exception requests affecting the land use decisions in the <br /> City of South Bend. <br /> Duties: As noted in the South Bend Municipal Code,the Public Works &Property <br /> Vacation Committee is charge with the following duties: <br /> "Overseeing the various activities performed by the Building Department, the <br /> Department of Public Works and related public works and property vacation <br /> issues. <br /> Members: There were four(4) Council Members this year serving on the Committee, <br /> namely: <br /> 1. Councilmember John Voorde, Chairperson <br /> 2. Councilmember Randy Kelly, Vice-Chairperson <br /> 3. Councilmember Jo M. Broden, Member <br /> 4. Councilmember Gavin Ferlic, Member <br /> Meetings: As of the date of this Annual Report, the Public Works & Property Vacation <br /> met thirteen(13)times this year. The majority of the Committee meetings focused on <br /> several requests for alley vacations and updates on various construction projects <br /> throughout the City.
