J. +_ uRIF-TTIM JANUAR <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole <br />in the Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, January 27, 1964, at 8 :00 P.M. with all members present <br />except Councilman Palmer. The meeting was called to order by Councilman Edwin T. Smith, Chairman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING AN ORDERLY PROCEDURE <br />BY WHICH EMPLOYEES MAY BE HEARD CONCERNING BUDGET ITEMS WHICH AFFECT <br />THEIR SALARIES AND WAGES AND BY WHICH EMPLOYEES MAY PRESENT GRIEVANCES <br />WHICH RESULT FROM DIFFERENCES OF OPINION BETWEEN SUPERVISORS AND <br />EMPLOYEES UPON WORKING CONDITIONS, INCLUDING ARBITRATION PROCEDURES <br />AND PROVISIONS FOR DEDUCTING FROM EMPLOYEES' WAGES FUNDS TO PAY <br />ORGANIZATIONS OF EMPLOYEES, AS AMENDED, KNOWN AS ORDINANCE 4612 =63 <br />ENACTED, ON THE 13TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1963. <br />!H <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Hunter made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as <br />favorable. Councilman Geib seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />ZONING <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING /ORDINANCE NO. 3702 <br />(Jacob, Corby and Campeau Streets) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Hunter made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as <br />favorable. Councilman Wise seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />ZONING <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING70RDINANCE NO. 3702 <br />(Franklin, Chapin, Indiana and Calverb`Sts.) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Or dinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Geib made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favor- <br />able. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS AMENDED <br />(Arthur, Eddy, Sorin Sts. & McKinley Ave.) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents , were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Glass made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favor- <br />able. Councilman Hunter seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS AMENDED <br />;(Jacob, Eddy Sts., McKinley, Colfax & LaSalle Avenues) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Glass made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favor- <br />able. Councilman Geib seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS <br />HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED <br />(17869 Edison Road) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Speaking against the proposed Ordinance was Mr. Sam Mirkin, who filed a <br />petition from property owners protesting the rezoning. Mr. Guy McMichael, Attorney for the petitioner, spoke in <br />favor of the Ordinance. Councilman Hunter made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as unfavorable. <br />Councilman Geib seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 <br />(Mishawaka Ave. and 33rd Street) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Glass made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favor- <br />able. Councilman Hunter seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Muszynski made a motion to <br />adjourn. Councilman Wise seconded the motion.
