A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF
PUBLIC WORKS TO NEGOTIATE THE SALE OF A
CITY -OWNED LOT LOCATED AT 513 WALNUT STREET.
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of
South Bend, pursuant to the Municipal Code of the City of
South Bend, Chapter 14.5, has offered for sale the following
described property:
Lot 22 Stokes Subdivision,
at an offering price of $417.00; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City o
South Bend has now received an offer to purchase the property
at 513 Walnut Street for a price of $365.00; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has now compl1ed
with all requirements of the Municipal Code of the y of
South Bend, Chapter 14.5, which establishes procedures for the
disposition of real property owned by the City of South Bend,

and more ecifically real property valued by the Board at
less than 000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of
the City of South Bend that:
SECTION I. The f Board d of Public Works be authorized to
negotiate a contract

for a. total price of Three Hundred and Sixty -five Dollars
(365:00).

Dear Council Members:
On February 23, 1981, the Common Council approved
the sale of city -owned property at 513 Walnut Street,
pursuant to Chapter 14.5 of the Municipal Code.
An appraisal of the property was made and an offering
price of $417.00 was established. The prospective purchaser
has offered the sum of $365.00 for the property.
The Board is desirous in placing this property back on
the tax rolls.
Your favorable action on this matter is requested.
