' 7 50- 8- / A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL, OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION FOR FUNDING OF THE "RUNAWAY SHELTER" FOR THE YEAR 1981 -82. WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of South Bend is the Chief Execu- tive Officer of the City, and, therefore, is the Applicant for a Grant for "The Runaway Shelter ". NOW, �HEREF0RE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: City 21 South Bend Tto submiteanb established the operation the ttheoaamoounthof X63,821. SECTION II. The Director of Youth Service Bureau will be desig- nated the Addnistrative Agent for this project. For every category established under this Resolution, Director of the Youth Service Bureau shall submit to the Common Council a line item budget prior to the expenditures of any grant money received upon approval of this application. SECTION III. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. Grant Application Date: April 6, 1981 The Youth Service Bureau is seeking Council's approval to submit to the Department of Health and Human Services a grant application to continue the operation!of the Runaway Shelter. As you know the Shelter has been funded by the Runaway Youth Act since 1976. The Youth Service Bureau is applying for $63,821.00 to support the Shelter. A 10% in -kind match is required. The Youth Service Bureau receives consultation services on individual clients, programming issues, and administrative support fY?om a number of agencies in St. Joseph County.
