SUBJECT: Resolution No. 3339 — Accepting the Transfer of Real Property from the
Board of Public Works (Newman Center)
Resolution Number 3339 accepts the transfer from the Board of Public Works (BPW) of
the Newman Center, located at Northside and Sample. The Newman Center has been
fully vacant for approximately two years with programming being phased out for the last
five, and is being transferred from BPW to the Commission for redevelopment purposes.
A matching Resolution will be presented to BPW on June 14, which will authorize the
transfer of this property to the Commission.
Staff requests approval of Resolution No. 3339, accepting the transfer from BPW of the
Newman Center, subject to BPW approval on June 14.
