Broden Others Present: Kathleen Cekanski- Farrand, Adriana Rodriguez, Kareemah Fowler, Jennifer Coffman, Sarah Heintzelman Agenda: Bill No. 15 -106 — Designating a two year Tax Abatement for Appletree Associates, LP (1915 Bendix Dr.) SUBSTITUTE PETITION Chairperson Gavin Ferlic called the meeting of the Community Investment Committee to order at 3:40 p.m. Bill No. 15 -106- Designating a two (2) -year tax abatement for Appletree Associates. Sarah Heintzelman, Department of Community Investment with offices on the 140i floor of the County -City Building. The total investment in the building is $315,000. They will have a total abated tax of $39,188. They will be creating three (3) jobs with the expansion into this building with an annual payroll of just over $101,000. Tony Davy, 17300 Woodhurst, Granger Indiana, I am a commercial real estate broker for Cressy and Everett, representing Appletree and Associates. The building has been empty since 2008. This abatement will allow us to spend this money to get the building back in shape and back on the tax rolls. Committeemember William Tipps asked if PEI Genesis currently has any abatements on its real estate, and if Royal has any current abatements. Ms. Heintzelman stated that there are no abatements currently on Appletree, and Connie Wroblewski, 2001 West Washington Street, stated that Royal does not currently have any abatements. 455 County-City Building • 227 W. ALDRIDGE EMILY SEXTON CHIEF DEPUTY/ CHIEF OF STAFF DEPUTY/ DIRECTOR OF POLICY ORDINANCE VIOLATION CLERK With no one from the public wishing to speak for or against the bill, Committeemember Oliver Davis made a motion to send Bill 15 -106 to the full Council with a favorable recommendation, it was seconded by Committeemember Paul Tipps and the vote carried with five (5) ayes ( Committeemember Randy Kelly was absent).
