Washington St. <br />Dear Council Members: <br />The Area Plan Commission held a public hearing on May 17, 2016 for the above reference petition. This petition is <br />set for public hearing before the Common Council on Monday, May 23, 2016 <br />Ordinance & Petition Amendments: <br />The following changes have been made to the above referenced petition: <br />Ordinance: <br />1.) A correction to the legal description has been made. <br />A Copy of the revised Ordinance is attached. <br />Public Hearing Summary: <br />There were two citizens present to speak in favor of the petition, and one citizen present to ask questions of the <br />petitioner. <br />• Debra Parcell spoke in favor of the petition, citing the historic significance of the property; <br />• Andrew Hudak spoke in favor of the petition, but suggested limiting the number of residential units on the <br />property and expressed concerns about parking on the street; <br />• Philip Blaine asked questions of the petitioner, including: hours of operation, lighting, and number of <br />occupants. He also mentioned that he has encountered opposition from the Area Plan Commission when <br />he has inquired about rezoning his property to a commercial district, 10 -20 years ago.
