AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA APPROPRIATING FOUR HUNDRED
EIGHTY-THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($483,000) FROM THE
GENERAL FUND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
The Common Council of the City of South Bend hereby determines
that it is necessary and in the best interest of the City to make
certain appropriations from funds available within the General Fund
of the City of South Bend to the Studebaker National Museum in
accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding executed by and
between the South Bend Civic Center Board of Managers, the South
Bend Regional Museum of Art, the City of South Bend, and the
Studebaker National Museum.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The following sums

Four Hundred Eighty-Three Thousand Dollars
($483,000) From the General Fund
Dear President Kelly;
The attached appropriation ordinance is being submitted in
accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding executed by and
between the South Bend Civic Center Board of Managers, the South
Bend Regional Museum of Art, the City of South Bend, and the
Studebaker National Museum. It will authorize the transfer of
funds to the Studebaker National Museum Capital Improvement Fund
as repayment for 1993 Hotel Motel Tax Revenue Bond funds held for
use by the City for the Studebaker Museum, but subsequently
applied toward improvements to Century Center.
