HomeMy WebLinkAboutNo. 2326 amending Resolution No. 2308 and aprpoving changes to an applicaiton for personal property tax deduction (Odyssian Technology, 511 E Colfax)• RESOLUTION NO. 2326 A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NUMBER 2308 AND APPROVING CHANGES TO AN APPLICATION FOR PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTION WHEREAS, LC. 6-1.1-12.1-2(1) provides that an application for property tax deduction may not be approved when the property is located in an allocation area as defined in LC. 36-7-14-39, unless the Redevelopment Commission which designated that allocation area adopts a resolution approving that application; and WHEREAS, The Redevelopment Commission through Resolution 2308 previously approved a personal property tax abatement petition for Odyssian Technology for property located at 511 East Colfax and 210 North Niles in the South Bend Central Development Area, the legal description of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council has received a revised application for five (5) years of personal property tax abatement consideration from Odyssian Technology; and WHEREAS, this Commission declared the South Bend Central Development Area by Resolution No. 737, adopted May 10,1985, and in the same resolution declared the South Bend Central Development Area, Allocation Area No. 1 A; and WHEREAS, the properties located at 511 East Colfax and 210 North Niles are located within the South Bend Central Development Area, Allocation Area No. lA; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment Commission as follows: 1) The Commission finds that the revised application from Odyssian Technology for five (5) years of personal property tax abatement consideration for property located at 511 East Colfax and 210 North Niles in the South Bend Central Development Area, Allocation Area No. lA, should be and is hereby approved. 2) Resolution 2308 is hereby revised to the extent necessary to approve the revised application with all other provisions of said resolution to remain the same. 3) That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the South Bend Common Council to indicate the Commission's approval of the revised petition for personal property tax abatement for Odyssian Technology. • Approved this 5th day of April, 2007, at the rescheduled regular meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission.
