JULY 27, 2009
The July 27, 2009 meeting of the Public Works and Property Vacation Committee of the South
Bend Common Council was called to order by its Chairperson Council Member David Varner at
4:33 p.m., in the Informal Meeting Room, 4th Floor County-City Building, 227 W. Jefferson Blvd.,
South Bend, Indiana
Committee Members Present: Tom LaFountain, Vice-Chairperson; Henry Davis;
Timothy Rouse; Jerry Niezgodski, Citizen Member
Other Council Members Present: Karen White; Ann Puzzello; Derek Dieter; Oliver Davis;
AI "Buddy" Kirsits
Others Present: Bernie Feeney
Agenda: Bill No. 52-09 -Vacation -Summertime Lane from Jackson to Hidden Creek
Chairperson Varner allowed Bernie Feeney representing the petitioner to make a presentation.
Providing a schematic handout to the committee, Feeney explained this vacation, relocation was
being requested to avoid a ditch and the costs of crossing same. Tom LaFountain moved
favorably and Rouse followed with a second all supported.
There being no further business to come before the Committee, Chairperson Varner adjourned
the meeting at 4:36 p.m.
