AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $492,341 WITHIN FUND 212 FOR THE PURPOSE OF
DEFRAYING THE ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY &
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR PROGRAM YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1998.
Statement of Purpose and Intent:
In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of community
resources, the Department of Community & Economic Development has entered into
contracts to provide staff and administrative support for various not-for-profit
organizations and programs. These revenues are the basis for the administrative
budget and need to be appropriated for that use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, as follows:
SECTION I. The sum of $492,341 is hereby appropriated to Fund 212 for
program year 1998, beginning January 1, 1998.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

in 1998 projected income to the Department of Community and Economic
Development from, fees, interest income and staff support contracts. These
anticipated resources to the Department's administrative budget were presented to
the Council in late August:
