AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $9,240.00 FROM THE
HAZ-MAT FUND
FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING EQUIPMENT
FOR THE HAZ-MAT TEAM
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
The City of South Bend through its Fire Department operates a Hazardous Material
Response Team for the purpose of providing the citizens of South Bend with protection
from dangers arising from chemical spills and other accidents involving hazardous
materials.
To operate at full efficiency and best protect the public, the Hazardouis Material
Response Team needs to purchase new equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
The amount of $9,240.00 is hereby appropriated and ordered set apart from the
Hazardous Material Response Team for the purpose of purchasing equipment.

This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the
Common Council and Approval by the Mayor.
