AN ORDINANCE INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS AND
DECREASING APPROPRIATIONS WITHIN THE VARIOUS
DEPARTMENTS WITHIN THE VARIOUS FUNDS OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA FOR THE YEAR 1997
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
Unforeseen conditions have developed since the adoption of the
existing budgets which necessitates the increase and reduction of
appropriations within the various departments of the General Fund
and other funds of the City of South Bend.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend, Indiana as follows:

Attached for filing are two year-end ordinances transferring
funds within various funds and increasing and decreasing
appropriations within various funds. These are companion
ordinances in that both are requests to shift budgeted amounts as
needed based upon actual forecasted expenditures for 1997.
