AN ORDINANCE OF THE CONIl~ION COiJNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOIITH BEND, INDIANA, CLOSING THE CITY
OF SOIITH BEND BARRETT LAW ACCOIINT
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
The Common Council of the City of South Bend has made the
following determinations:
1. The City maintains a Barrett Law account which has a
balance of approximately $17,370.56;
2. The City no longer uses Barrett Law for public
improvements;
3. There are no obligations or potential obligations for
which Barrett Law account money was accumulated or may be
used; and
4. Notice of the intent to close the Barrett Law account has
been published.
Pursuant to I.C. 36-9-37-45, the Common Council has therefore
determined to close the City of South Bend Barrett Law account.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. That the City of .South Bend Barrett Law Fund be
closed.
Section II. That the surplus money in the Barrett Law Fund be
transferred to the General Fund.
Section III. This ordinance shall be of full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval of
the Mayor.
