AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CLOSING VARIOUS FUNDS
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND AND TRANSFERRING THE
BALANCES THEREIN TO THE GENERAL FUND
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
The Common Council of the City of South Bend, upon the
recommendation of the State Board of Accounts, has determined that
there no longer exists a need to segregate certain funds of the
City of South Bend and maintain certain separate funds, and that
these funds should be closed and their balances transferred to the
General Fund of the City of South Bend.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following funds be closed and the
indicated balances, plus all accrued interest, on deposit therein
be transferred to the General Fund of the City of South Bend.

Section II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect

Attached for filing is an ordinance closing various funds of
the City of South Bend. The State Board of Accounts has determined
that there is no need to segregate and maintain certain separate
funds, and that the following accounts should be closed and their
balances transferred to the City's General Fund:
Civil City Debt Fund
Urban Homesteading Fund
East Bank Trail Fund
Economic Development Admin. Fund
