and the Board of Public Safety

The June 17, 2009 Executive Session of the South Bend Common Council and
the Board of Public Safety was called to order by Council President Derek D.
Dieter at 3:30 p.m. in the Council's Informal Meeting Room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members Rouse, Dieter, LaFountain,
Kirsits and Puzzello; City Controller M. Catherine Fanello, Board of Safety
Member Juanita Dempsey, Uniform Division Chief Jeff Walters, Police Division
Chief Gary Horvath, Fire Chief Howard Buchanon, II, Assistant Fire Chief Jim
Lopez; Charles Leone, Board of Pubic Safety's Agent; and Kathleen Cekanski-
Farrand, Council's Agent.
Council President Dieter noted that the Executive Session was called pursuant to
the June 12, 2009 Notice of Executive Session (copy attached} for the purpose
of discussing strategy with regard to collective bargaining relative to public safety
employees pursuant to Indiana Code 5-14-1.5-6.1 (b)(2)(A).
This is to certify that the only subject matter discussed at this Executive Session
was that contained in the May 8, 2008 "Notice of Executive Session".
Council President Dieter adjourned the Executive Session at 4:30 p.m.
