AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA, APPROPRIATING $2,000,000.00 FROM STATE GRANT FUND (#210) FOR
CONSTRUCTION AND/OR EQUIPMENT FOR INNOVATION PARK AT NOTRE DAME
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
The City of South Bend has been awarded an Indiana Economic & Community Development
grant, the use of which is limited to the construction, equipping, or outfitting of the facilities for Innovation
Park at Notre Dame. This Ordinance appropriates these grant funds for their intended use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, as follows:
Section I. The sum of $2,000,000.00 is hereby appropriated from State Grant Fund (#210) for the
construction and/or purchase of equipment to set up the specialized facilities at Innovation Park at Notre
Dame.
Section II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and of its passage by the
Common Council and approval by the Mayor. .~

The attached bill for your consideration and approval will appropriate funds from a $2,000,000.00
Indiana Economic Development Corporation grant the City was awarded for Innovation Park @ Notre
Dame. The funds will be appropriated into the State Grant Fund (fund # 210) and used for the
construction and equipment for the facility. We look forward to your approval of this ordinance.
Please note, these funds cannot be used for general government purposes, only toward the construction
and/or equipment to properly outfit the facilities at the Innovation Park @ Notre Dame. Don Inks,
Jennifer Laurent or I will present this bill at your March 23rd meeting. If you have any questions,
