AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
APPROPRIATING $ 13,000.00 FROM THE
ETHNIC FESTIVAL NON-REVERTING FUND (FUND N0.272)

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
The Ethnic Festival Non-Reverting Fund (Fund No. 272) was established for the purpose of
funding improvements necessary fox the efficient operation of the Ethnic Festival. The Park
Department Superintendent has developed and presented a plan for enhancement of the Ethnic
Festival, which plan budgets $ 13,000.00 for water and electrical improvements to be made in
2000. The Common Council has determined it is in the best interest of the City of
South Bend to appropriate sufficient funds from the Ethnic Festival Non-Reverting Fund to
allow these improvements to be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. The following sum of money is hereby appropriated and ordered set apart
from and within the Ethnic Festival Non-Reverting Fund (Fund No. 272) for water and electrical
improvements.

Section II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the
Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

This ordinance, appropriating $13,000.00 from the Ethnic Festival Non-Reverting
Fund, is being submitted to the Common Council for consideration and approval.
The improvements outlined in this ordinance are part of an ongoing process to
Maintenance Superintendent maintain the Ethnic Festival as an exciting, family-friendly event. This
