KOLATA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR November 1, 1999 South Bend Common Council Fourth Floor Council Chambers 400 County-City Building South Bend, IN 46601 Dear Council Member: The attached bill for your consideration and approval will transfer $592,063 in Community Development Block grant funds as part of the 2000 Housing & Community Development Plan. As you remember, this plan, and the proposed allocation of funds, was made public September 29, 1999 fora 30-day public comment period. The plan was also the subject of 2 public hearings on October 14th. This bill is a companion to the CDBG general appropriation bill also filed today. Specifically, this action will allocate funds to: the Affordable Loan program ($290,000); Blume's block rehab ($100,000); Perley Park neighborhood revitalization ($130,000); and Liston/Colfax neighborhood revitalization ($72,063).
