Staff Report
New Tech High School

In order to keep the opportunity to move ahead with the New Tech High School for this
school year, it is being proposed the Redevelopment Commission consider the following:
Approve $1.3 million for the design and consh•uction related to establishing a
New Tech High School;
2. Approve the use of these funds for the Maiycrest Building, or another suitable site
in the Airport Economic Development Area subject to Redevelopment approval
of an site other than Marycrest;
3. Approve an Agency Agreement with the Board of Public Works to cant' out the
design and construction on the Commission"s behalf.
By taking these actions the Redevelopment Commission will be demonstrating its
support for the project, and allowing the project to proceed for this school year, subject to
the School Board making a final decision.
Staff recommends favorable consideration by the Redevelopment Commission.
