A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND APPROVING THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT IN
EXCESS OF $10,000 UNDER THE SOUTHEAST RENTAL
REHABILITATION DEMONSTRATION PROJECT, TO BE
ADMINISTERED THROUGH THE DIVISION OF COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development
has initiated a demonstration project to provide assistance to cities seeking
to design programs to rehabilitate small rental properties of 5 to 30 units; and
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend has been selected to participate in
such a demonstration project; and
WHEREAS, the City has allocated $100,000 to fund projects of this
type under CD 80-119, Southeast Rental Demonstration project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED THAT THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND:
SECTION I: Approve the following contract awarded by the Board of
Public Works in excess of $10,000.00:
New Hope Housing $50,000.00
SECTION II: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect after
its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.
