Downtown South Bend’s St. Paddy’s Tent Party & Pub Tour Moves
To New Location
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA – Kick-off the St. Patrick’s Day weekend in downtown South Bend on Friday,
March 13, as Downtown South Bend, Inc. (DTSB) along with Presenting Sponsors; Baileys, Bushmills
and Bud Light present the sixth annual St. Paddy’s Tent Party & Pub Tour from 5:00 until
11:00 p.m. Other sponsors for this year’s event include: Major Sponsors- Harbor Sports & Cycle,
Transpo and Ziebart, Media Sponsors- Comcast Spotlight Cable, WRBR 103.9 “The Bear” and Night
Lights T.V., Shamrock Sponsors - Hoosier Dads Music and
Red Bull.
This year the Tent Party & Pub Tour will be located in the 300 block of south Michigan Street near the
corner of Wayne and Michigan, west of One Michiana Square.“The Tent Party was not only moved to
accommodate a larger crowd but will also bring the excitement of the event to the south end of
Michigan Street for the first time,” said Marco Mariani executive director of Downtown South Bend,
Inc. The new location places the Tent Party just south of many popular downtown entertainment
venues and closer to garage and surface parking options.
A popular tradition in Downtown South Bend, the Tent Party drew well over 3,000 visitors last year.
Open only to those 21 years of age and older, there is a $5 admittance fee into the event. The Bear’s
own radio personality Tommy Carroll will serve as DJ- host of this year’s event and will also broadcast
a live show from the Tent Party from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The Tent Party will feature two popular bands: Take Aim will begin playing at 5:30 p.m. with
headliner Still Shot taking the stage at 8:00 p.m. Both bands play a popular mix of classic and
contemporary rock cover songs. A variety of festive foods and drinks by Trio’s Jazz Club, Restaurant &
Catering will be served.

The Pub Tour includes Transpo Trolley rides, beginning at 7:00 p.m., to a dozen favorite downtown
bars and restaurants. Participating “Pubs” will feature entertainment, drink and food specials
throughout the night. Trolleys will transport partygoers, free of charge until 12:30 a.m. The Trolley
route starts at the Tent Party and stops are made at participating Pub sites. Trolleys will also stop, for
drop offs only, at the downtown parking garages.
