Update on Live Christmas tree pickup program
South Bend, IN:
Next week is the final week for live Christmas tree pickup and recycling. During this
final week, pickup will be on a call in basis only and at curbside only. There will be no further
drop off at city parks. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the mild weather and to
round up trees that have been buried in snow or otherwise were not able to be collected.
Christmas Tree Recycling
1.Place tree at curbside for automatic pickup and call the Division of Streets at
235-9244 to schedule a pickup. Please do not leave trees in the street or in
alleys.
2.Please remove all lights, ornaments, and metal including tree stands and
nails. Artificial trees or trees containing glass or metal will not be collected.
All natural trees are recycled at South Bend’s Organic Resources facility.
