SEC'T'ION 1.
That the throwing, depositing or leaving
of earth, ashes, cans , refvse-o-r debris of any sort into
*° the St. Joseph River within-the limits of the City of

r South Bend, Indiana, orlupof the bank of said river at
any point within such city limits where such substances
I may drain or be washed into said river *** upon the edge
thereof, is hereby prohibited.
= SECTION 2.
- Any violation of the provisions of this or-
dinance shall subject the violator thereof to a fine of

not to exceed One Hundred Dollars (0100.00) to which may

be added imprisonment in the County Jail until the same is

t paid or replevied, not to exceed thirty

Section 3.This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and legal publication.
