Presented by me to the Mayor of the City of South Bend, Indiana October 9 , 19 84 . - r. --i--w ) City Clerk Approved and signed by me 0 °I 19 (F7 . ,9 / fir/ /4 /atit�%/ '1=9 Mayor • RESOLUTION NO. 1207-84 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMENDING THE FIREFIGHTERS AND PARAMEDICS WHO RESPONDED TO THE HOME OF TONY GADACZ ON SEPTEMBER 23, 1984 WHEREAS , the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, recognizes that firefighters , paramedics and police officers respond to emergencies on a daily basis in helping to preserve the • health and safety of the citizens of our community; and WHEREAS , on Sunday, September 23., 1984, a response team made up of firefighters and paramedics responded to an emergency at the home of Tony Gadacz, 2529 Bonds , South Bend, Indiana; and WHEREAS , the family of Tony Gadacz, through their grandson, Councilman Thomas Zakrzewski , wish to personally and publicly thank the following individuals for trying to save Tony Gadacz' s life : Engine 4 made up of Captain Joe DeBuysser , Firefighter' Manijak, and Firefighter Jasicki; and Paramedic Kowalski and Paramedic R. Brandt. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows : SECTION I. On behalf of the family of Tony Gadacz through their grandson, Councilman Thomas Zakrzewski, together with his col- leagues on the South Bend Common Council , wish to personally and publicly thank the firefighters of Engine 4 and the two paramedics who responded to the emergency call at 2529 Bonds on September 23 , 1984. SECTION II , The Common Council extends their deepest sympathy to the family of Tony Gadacz,and hope that the rich and abundant memories of him, especially as a South Bend firefighter, will help brighten their days ahead, SECTION III . This Resolution shall he in full force and effect upon its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. Member of the Commdh Council Adopted October 8, 1984
