RESOLUTION NO. �a � F -84
AMENDMENT OF INDUCEMENT RESOLUTION
The City of South Bend, Indiana,
Relating to: Automatic Molded
Plastics, Inc. and Aquarius Tool
and Mold, Inc. Project.
WHEREAS, on August 13 , 1984 , this Common Council of
the City of South Bend, Indiana ("Common Council") adopted
Resolution No. 1184-84, Inducement Resolution, The City of South
Bend, Indiana, Relating to: Automatic Molded Plastics, Inc. and
Aquarius Tool and Mold, Inc. Project ("Resolution") ; and
WHEREAS, the Resolution defined the economic develop-
ment facilities ("Project") as follows:
A. Automatic Molded Plastics, Inc. will acquire:
Six (6) New Injection Molding Machines
Support Equipment:
Water Temperature Control Units
Oil Temperature Control Units
Material Dryers
Material Loaders
Material Grinders
B. Aquarius Tool & Mold, Inc. will acquire:
One General Electric Calma System
Computer Aided Design/Computer
Aided Machinery
Two (2) C N C Bed Milling Machines
One (1) C N C Wire Electrical
Discharge Machine
One (1) C N C Lathe
One (1) Programmable Electrical
Discharge Machine; and
WHEREAS, in reliance on Resolution No. 1184-84,
Automatic Molded Plastics, Inc. entered into obligations to
purchase:
Two (2) 45-ton Kawaguchi Injection
Molding Machines
Two (2) 85-ton Kawaguchi Injection
Molding Machines
Two (2) 125-ton Kawaguchi Injection
Molding Machines;
and Aquarius Tool and Mold, Inc. entered into obligations to
purchase:
One (1) General Electric Calma
Cad/Cam Systems (computer-aided
design/computer-aided machinery) ;
and
WHEREAS, in lieu of the acquisition of:
Support Equipment:
Water Temperature Control Units
Oil Temperature Control Units
Material Dryers
Material Loaders
Material Grinders,
Automatic Molded Plastics, Inc. desires to acquire:
One (1) 1 ,000-ton Injection Molding
Machine or
One (1) 500-ton Injection Molding
Machine and
Two (2) 200-ton Injection Molding
Machines
Process Control Units and Pro-
duction Monitoring System for
Injection Molding Machines
Miscellaneous Support Equipment
("Substituted AMP Equipment") ; and in lieu of the acquisition of:
Two (2) C N C Bed Milling Machines
One (1) C N C Wire Electrical
Discharge Machine
One (1) C N C Lathe
One (1) Programmable Electrical
Discharge Machine,
Aquarius Tool and Mold, Inc. desires to acquire:
Two (2) CNC Milling Equipment Units
One (1) Wire-cut Electronic Dis-
charge Machine
Miscellaneous Support Equipment,
("Substituted ATM Equipment") ; and
WHEREAS, this Common Council finds that the acquisition
of the Substituted AMP Equipment and Substituted ATM Equipment
satisfies the qualifications and declarations of Resolution No.
1184-84 and that Resolution should be amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Common Council moves as follows:

2. All other language and terms of Resolution No.
1184-84 shall remain in effect as of the date of its adoption by
the Common Council and approved by the Mayor of South Bend,
Indiana.

Amended Resolution
Dear Councilmen:
We are enclosing a copy of a proposed Amended Resolution on behalf
of Automatic Molded Plastics and Aquarius Tool and Mold.
Since Resolution 1184-84 was adopted by the Common Council on
August 13 , 1984, we have determined that new equipment not covered
by the previously passed Resolution will be purchased, and this is
the basis for the request to amend the prior Resolution, to authorize
these -dditional purchases .
We appreciate your passage of the recommended Amended Resolution.
