Heating & Air Conditioning Equipment & Supplies - Sheet Metal 1415 Lake St. Niles,Michigan 49120 Phone 683-0891 October 18, 1984 Members of the Common Council City County Building South Bend, Indiana Dear Members : My name is Thomas Peck, and I reside on Evans Rd. in Eau Claire, Michigan. As of January 1, 1985, I will be the new owner of Lake Supply Co. , Inc. , a wholesale heating supply firm located at 1415 Lake St. , in Niles, Michigan. Lake Supply Co. has been in the Niles, Michigan area for the last 25 years, and owned by my father William Peck. I have been an employee and stockholder for the last 11 years. We have currently outgrown our present location and wish to expand. Because of the amount of business we do in the South Bend area and the situation for expansion in Michigan, we have decided South Bend would be a desirable location. We are petitioning for real property tax abatement on a piece of property we have purchased just west of Bendix Dr. , on Rosetta Dr. We plan to build a 10, 000 sq ft. building on this lot, and move our entire Michigan operation to the South Bend area. We are currently working with a South Bend building contractor, and have enclosed estimated building costs in our petition. We feel South Bend would fit the needs of our proposed expansion, and a tax abatement for real property would aid us in this endeavor. Sincerely Yours, LAKE SUPPLY C . , INC. / W. Thomas Peck
