Addressing Minimum Permit Fees&Service
Charges of the Building Department
The Public Works& Property Vacation Committee was called to order with but one member in
attendance, Dr. David Varner. Dr.Varner noted without a quorum no recommendation could be
forwarded to Council. Nonetheless he was ready to hear a presentation of the one bill on the agenda,
that being bill 67-15. This bill would raise the fee for minimum permits by$10.00 and boost contractor
registration fees from $100.00 to$125.00. The letter from the building commissioner justifies the
increase in that minimum fee permits lost$31,450.00 for the Building Department last year.
There was no one to present the bill so Dr.Varner asked Deputy Mayor Brian Pawlowski to have
someone from the Building Department present the bill at the evening meeting.
Dr.Varner adjourned at 4:55 P.M.
