Upon a motion made by Mr. Relos, seconded by Ms. Maradik and carried, the above bids were
referred to Engineering and Community Investment for review and recommendation. After
reviewing those bids, Mr. Michael Carey, Engineering, recommended that the Board award the
contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder Gladwin Machinery & Supply Company
of Illinois, Inc., 636 E. State Parkway, Schaumburg, Illinois, 60173, in the amount of
$411,485.00. Mr. Gilot asked if Nello Corporation had signed off on the award. Mr. Carey stated
they reviewed the bids with him and signed off on the award and will follow up with a letter
stating so. Therefore, Mr. Relos made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid
be awarded and the contract approved as outlined above. Ms. Maradik seconded the motion,
which carried.
