RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE INDIANA
CRIMINAL JUSTICE INSTITUTE
WHEREAS , the Mayor is the chief executive officer of the City
of South Bend and thus is the applicant for a grant from the Indiana
Criminal Justice Institute ; and
WHEREAS , the receipt of a Criminal Justice Institute Grant will
enable the City of South Bend to provide funding for a Sex Offense
Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I . The Common Council hereby stablishes the authority
of the Mayor of the City of South Bend to submit a grant application
to the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute for funding for the Sex
Offense Program to be administered through the South Bend Police
Department and Madison Center .
SECTION II . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon passage by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, and approval by the Mayor .
