ORDINANCE NO. 5 71/1
AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING AND APPROVING A CERTAIN CONTRACT ENTER-
ED INTO BY AND BETWEEN THE MUNICIPAL CITY WATER WORKS DE-
PARTMENT OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,, INDIANA. AND THE
PITTSBURGH-DES MOINES STEEL COMPANY OF CHICAGO..
ILLINOIS, FOR THE FURNISHING BY SAID COMPANY
OF A TOWER AND TANK FOR SAID MUNICIPAL
WATER WORKS DEPARTMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana.
SECTION 1.
That a certain contract entered into by and between the
Municipal City Water Works Department of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, and the Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Company of Chicago,
Illinois, whereby said Water Department contracted and agreed to
purchase and said Pittsburgh-Des Moines Company contracted and
agreed to furnish, erect, and complete a steel tower and tank,
which contract was entered into, in triplicate, on February 19th,
1929, and a copy of which contract is hereto attached, marked
Exhibit ''An and hereby made a part of this Ordinance, be and the
same is hereby ratified, confirmed and approved.
SECTION gs,
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
