ORDINANCE NO. a /
AN ORDINANCE RELIEVING THE NEW YORK CENTRAL RAILROAD COMPANY
FROM KEEPINGWATCHMEN AT THE CROSSING OF ITS TRACKS OVER
MICHIGAN STREET, MAIN STREET, LAFAYETTE STREET,PRAIRIE
AVENUE, SCOTT STREETZ CHAPIN STREET/. FELLOW_STREET. .
HIGH STREET MARIETTA STREET MIAMI STREET AND
BRONSON STREET.
Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana.
SECTION 1.
That the New York Central Railroad Company is hereby
relieved from stationing and keeping watchmen at the crossing of
its railroad over the following described streets in the City of
South Bend, Indiana, to-wit:
Michigan Street Chapin Street
Main Street Fellow Street
Lafayette Street High Street
Prairie Avenue 7.. . Marietta Street
Scott Street !! ! - Miami Street
" Bronson Street, as now re-
quired by Ordinances, the tracks .of said Railroad Company being

elevated at each of the above named crossings.
SECTION 2.
All Ordinances requiring the said New York Central Rail-
road Company to keep watchmen at any of its crossings over the above
named streets be and the same are hereby repealed and rendered
nugatory insofar as the said Ordinances require watchmen at any of
the above named streets, but no farther, and such Ordinances which
provide for watchmen at other streets are to remain in full force and
effect as to such other streets.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
