Dear Members of the Council:
In accordance with the procedure for the renewal of license
applications for scrap/junk/recycling operations, inspections
of the premises of fourteen ( 14) dealers submitting renewal
license applications were conducted by the Fire Prevention
Bureau and the Department of Code Enforcement in February. The
properties were inspected for fire code violations,
environmental violations, proper maintenance of the premises
and areas outside fenced-in areas, and the height and condition
of surrounding fencing.
The Board of Public Works , at its meeting held on February 10 ,
1987 , adopted Resolution No. 2-1987 recommending the approval
of license renewals for 1987 for the fourteen ( 14 ) dealers as
listed.
We are, therefore, submitting to you the attached Resolution
for consideration as the Board has found that the fourteen ( 14 )
scrap/junk/recycling dealers listed on the Resolution have met
the technical requirements of the ordinance.
Sincerely,
BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
Sandra M. Parmerlee, Clerk
