RESOLUTION NO. 1538-87
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA APPROVING A PETITION FOR
AN EXCESS LEVY OF THREE CENTS PER ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS
OF ASSESSED VALUATION AS PERMITTED PURSUANT TO
I .C. 6-1. 1-18.5-13.
WHEREAS, the Common Council recognizes that I.C. 6-1.1-18. 5-13 ,
permits a civil taxing unit to increase its levy on property at a tax rate

valuation;
WHEREAS, the Council further recognizes that TRANSPO is facing a
budget deficit due to a substantial decrease in federal operating
