RESOLUTION NO. 1531-87
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
COMMENDING THE FULL—TIME ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF
OF THE SOUTH BEND AREA PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL CLUB, INC.
FOR THEIR EFFORTS IN PROMOTING ACTIVITIES
AT THE STANLEY COVELESKI REGIONAL STADIUM
WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council notes with pride that
the Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium was officially dedicated
on Tuesday , August 25 , 1987 ; and
WHEREAS, the Council notes that many individuals and organi-
zations have been working tirelessly to schedule and promote
activities at our new facility ; and
WHEREAS , the full—time administrative staff of the South
Bend Area Professional Baseball Club, Inc. has played a vital and
important role in the development of activities at our stadium
and should be duly recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows:
SECTION I . On behalf of the citizens of South Bend ,
Indiana , the Common Council wishes to commend the full—time
administrative staff of the South Bend Area Professional Baseball
Club , Inc . , and more particularly:
John N. Baxter
James E. Miller
Pat Daly
Terrence P. O'Brien
Marc G. Whitney
David Konkey
for their tireless efforts in promoting the Stanley Coveleski
Regional Stadium.
SECTION II. The South Bend Area Professional Baseball Club,
Inc. has played- a vital role in introducing the stadium to
several Michiana communities and the related promulgation of
amateur and professional baseball , youth development and family
recreation.
SECTION III. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.
