4 . ORDINANCE NO. 01 b a
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($3500.00) FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF ,THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA TO THE DEPARTI'MNT OF PUBLIC
HEALTH FOR ITS EXPENSES IN PREVENTING AND
TREATING SPINAL MENINGITIS. .
WHEREAS, there has been an unusual prevalence of spinal
meningitis during the last few weeks in South Bend, Indiana and
neighboring communities, and
WMBAS, the Department of Public Health of South Bend, Indiana
has reported to this Council the necessity of making certain unusual
expenditures in preventing and treating said disease; therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
Indiana:
SECTION I. That the sum of Thirty-five Hundred Dollars ($3500.00)
be and the same is hereby appropriated from the general fund of the
City of South Bend., Indiana to the Department of Public Health for
its use in preventing and treating spinal meningitis in South Bend,
Indiana.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and legal publication and hearing and
approval by the Mayor. At"
