THE NEW JERSEY INRI 'VA AND ILLINOIS RAILROAD COMPANY
AND IORTHERN • ILW,AY COMPANY
TO STATION FLAGMEN A THE CROSSING OF THEIR RAIL-
ROAD OVER WALNUT STREET BETWEEN SAMPLE STREET
AND INDIANA AVENUE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana.
SECTION 1.
That the New York Central Railway Company, the New f
Jersey, Indiana and . Illinois Railroad Company and the orthern "``‘,‘,
Railway Company, be and the same are hereby required to station
flagmen at their crossings over Walnut Street between Sample Street
and Indiana Avenue, between the hours of 6: 00 otclock A.M. , and
o& clock P.M. , of each day.
SECTION 2.
A violation of this ordinance shall subject said violators
to a fine /of not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) and not more
than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each offense and each days
violation shall be deemed a separte and distinct offense.
SECTION 3. � ,
This ordinance shall `be` in full force and effect from and
after ltd passage and legal publication.
