WHEREAS, the Board of Park Commissioners of the Park District of the City of South Bend (Park Board) at its November 19, 1987, meeting adopted a resolution indicating its willingness to lease property owned by the Park Board at 1733 East Northside Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana (Property) to Indiana University at South Bend ( IUSB) in order to accommodate the Purdue state-wide technology programs currently located at the IUSB campus; and WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council supports the action of the Park Board in determining such use to be appropriate for the Property in the interest of the citizens of South Bend. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Common Council, as follows: Section 1. The Common Council hereby expresses its concurrence with the action of the Park Board as expressed by its resolution adopted November 19, 1987, that the Property be leased to the State of Indiana for the use of IUSB in order for IUSB to accommodate the Purdue state-wide technology programs currently located at the IUSB campus. Section 2. The Park Board resolution is attached to this resolution as Exhibit A and adopted herein by reference. Section 3.
