RESOLUTION NO. 1556-87
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA COMMENDING GLADYS MUHAMMAD
FOR HER SERVICE TO THE CITY AS ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CODE ENFORCEMENT
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
Indiana acknowledges with pride that GLADYS MUHAMMAD has served
as Assistant Director of the Department of Code Enforcement
since August 8, 1983.
WHEREAS, in this capacity she has earned a reputation of
being a very cooperative and caring City official; and
WHEREAS, GLADYS MUHAMMAD has competently handled numerous
emergency situations for the Department of Code Enforcement and
has delicately balanced the rights of the property owners and
the best interest of the City,
WHEREAS, the Common Council proudly acknowledges the many
contributions made to the City of South Bend, Indiana, in her
four (4 ) years of service as Assistant Director of one of the
busiest departments in the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City
of South Bend, Indiana as follows:
SECTION I. On behalf of all of the citizens of the City of
South Bend, Indiana, the Common Council hereby publicly commends
GLADYS MUHAMMAD for her four (4 ) years of dedicated public
service to the City as its Assistant Director of the Department
of Code Enforcement.
SECTION II. The Common Council wishes her continued success
as she embarks her new career as Community Organizer for the the
Near West Side Neighborhood of the South Bend Heritage
Foundation.
SECTION III. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayo ‘
