RESOLUTION NO. 1562-87
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMENDING AL B. PASZEK FOR
HIS FOUR (4) YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE AS ---
COUNCILMAN-AT-LARGE
WHEREAS, The Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana,
recognizes that Al B. Paszek has diligently served the citizens of our City
since 1984; and
WHEREAS, during this period of time, COUNCILMAN PASZEK continued to be
guided by the professional standards which he established when he served the
public as Trustee of Portage Township; and
WHEREAS, the Cannon Council recognizes with pride some of COUNCILMAN
PASZEK'S contributions as Councilman-at-Large such as: being Chairman of the
Older Adults Committee in 1986 and 1987; being Chairman of the Utilities
Committee in 1987; serving on the Economic Development Commission; serving on
the Business Development Corporation; and serving on a multitude of other
Council committees; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council will remember COUNCILMAN PASZEK as a
dedicated public servant who brought a stablizing force and a common sense
approach to the Common Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana as follows:
SECTION I . On behalf of all the citizens of South Bend, Indiana, the
Common Council hereby publicly commends and says "DZIEKUJE" to Al B. Paszek
for his four (4) years of dedicated service as a Councilman-at-Large.
SECTION II . The Common council publicly acknowledges COUNCILMAN
PASZEK'S many contributions to help improve the quality of life in South Bend,
Indiana, and wishes Al and his wife, Mary, continued good fortune in the years
ahead.
SECTION III. This Resolution shall be in full force and effec by the
Common Council and approval by the Mayor. -
