MAYOR BUTTIGIEG AND MAYOR ADLER WAGER OVER NOTRE DAME -TEXAS GAME
Mayor Pete Buttigieg has set the terms of a friendly wager with Mayor Steve Adler of Austin.
Notre Dame will play the Texas Longhorns Saturday evening in South Bend. Mayor Adler plans
to attend the game.
"I'm excited to watch the Longhorns win on Saturday night," says Mayor Adler. "I'm putting
some of our finest barbecue up against Notre Dame to prove it."
Mayor Adler will put up a package of Franklin BBQ as Austin's wager.
"We look forward to welcoming the Longhorns to South Bend," says Mayor Buttigieg. "And of
course I'm hoping for a big Irish win. We've got some of our finest chocolates from South Bend
Chocolate Company and South Bend Blend Honey from our community gardens to back it up."
The mayors plan to meet prior to the game to discuss their cities and the upcoming game.
