BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION 1. That the Department of Public Safety of the
City of South Bend, Indiana be and it is hereby authorized to in-
crease the police force of said City by the employment of Twenty
(80) additional members.
SECTION 2. That the sum of Three Thousand Seven Hundred
Dollars ($3700.00) be and the same is hereby appropriated from the
General Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana to the Department
of Public Safety of said City for the salaries of such additional
members of the police department, being P -1.
SECTION 3. That the sum of Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00)
be and the same is hereby appropriated from the General fund of the
City of South Bend, Indiana to the Department of Public Safety of
said City for Supplies, being P -13.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, legal publication, hearing and
approval by the Mayor.
