Z O d BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COTEJON COUNCIL OF '71 TB CIT' OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That Section two (2) of ordinance number 2448 entitled: "An Ordinance to License and Regulate All Inns, Taverns, Hotels and Restaurants" be amended to read as follows: Any person, firm, co- partnership or corporation desiring to keep any such inn, tavern, hotel or restaurant within the limits of such city, shall first make application to the City Controller upon blanks to be furnished by said City, for such license, and shall state in such application the exact location of said proposed business, and if the applicant is a corporation, the exact name of such corporation, and if the application is made by a firm or co- partnership, the names and addresses of each member of such firm or co- partnership. Such application shall also contain a general description of the room, rooms, building on place to be used,and the purpose for which such room, building or place is to be operated. Such applicant shall also pay to the City Controller, with the ap- plication, the amount of the license fee and upon such application and payment being made, the City Controller shall issue to the applicant a license to operate at such location as the keeper of an inn, tavern, hotel, restaurant or lunch room as requested in said application ,,restaurant a period __terminaVing`.the first day of march next 4succeeding the date of issuance, and such license may be renewed annually as of the first day of T. "arch for a period of one (1) year by the payment of the license fee. The fee for the issuance of each and every license shall be Ten Dollars ("?10.00), and the fee for the renewal thereof shall also be Bien Dollars ( 1?10.00). PROVIDED, that none of the foregoing provisions of this ordinance shall apply to any person, firm, co- partnership, society or corporation engaged in a mere transient or temporary business for not more than ten (10) days. SECTION 2. The penalty for the violation of this ordinance shall be the same as is provided in ordinance nurfoer 2448, to -wit: A fine not exceeding One Hundred Dollars (,;100.00) for each offense.
