An Ordinance providing for the disbursement of the
monies received by the City o£ South Bend from the
State of Indiana from the Gasoline Tax.
Section 1. Be it ordained by the Common Council
of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that all monies
received by the City of South Bend, Indiana from the State
of Indiana from the proceeds of gasoline tax shall be de-
posited to the account of the Board of Public Works of
said City to be used by said Board in the maintenance and
repair of streets and bridges within the corporate limits
of said City. The said Board shall give preference to
State thoroughfares through the City in the use of said
funds but next to the maintenance and repair and upkeep
of.said main thoroughfares shall use the balance of said
funds upon the streets and highways of said City in such
plaees and at such times as may seem necessary to said
Board of Public works.
,Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage.
