AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5 OF ORDINANCE 2653 as
AMENDED BY SECTION ONE OF ORDINANCE 2666.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the:City of
South Bend, Indiana:
Section 1
That Section 5 of Ordinance '253 adopted by the Common
Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, the q a- day of Z
19 =, and Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2666, amending Section 5 of
said Ordinance No. `.2653, be amended to read as follows:
No parking, or standing, of vehicles on any
street shall be permitted at any time in the following
locations, except in cases of emergency or delays in
traffic movement, or by the direction of an officer or
automatic signal.
a. Within the boundaries of a street inter-
section, except when waiting to make a
left turn -- where left turns are permitted.
b. Not less than 10 feet from the extension
of a property line at a street intersection.
c. Between an established safety zone and the
adjacent curb or within 25 feet of the rear
of such zone.
d. Across the entranceway of any court alley
or driveway, or within 5 feet of either
line thereof.
e. In any alley, or in any court within the
City of South Bend, longer than is necessary
to continuously load or unload materials or
passengers.
f. Within 5 feet of a fire hydrant. (AQ -yea

g. Within 15 feet of any entrance to a fire
station.
h. With the right front and right rear wheels
more than one foot from the curb, where
parallel parking only is permitted, or
closer than four feet to other vehicles
parked parallel.

Section 2
Every person convicted of a violation of any of the
provisions, rules or regulations of this ordinance shall be
punished by a fine of not more than Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00);
for any second or subsequent offense committed within one year
after the first conviction of such person shall be punished by a
fine of not less than Five Lollars ($5.00) nor more than Fifty
Dollars ($50.00), to which may be added imprisonment in the
county jail for a period not exceeding thirty (30) days, and
in the event of a fine being assessed, such convicted person
shall be confined in the county jail until such fine and the
costs are paid or replevied; pursuant to and in accordance with
said Ordinance No. 2853.
Section 3
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval by the Mayor4s::L —O{
