by the City of South Bend, Indiana, by and throw its Board of

THIS AGREEA9ENT AND INDENTURE made and entered into this the 2nd day of
June; 1931$ by and between the City of South Bend, Indiana, by and through
its board of Water Commissioners* party of the first party termed in this
agreement and the specifications as the "Purchaser ", and Virgil J. Reeds
1222 McCartney Street$ South Bend, Indiana, party of the second party termed

THAT$WHIREASi the Purcbaser has heretofore caused to be prepared certain
plans, specifications and proposal blanks for furnishing equipment or
material and constructing improvements therein fully described$ and the
Contractor did, on the 2nd day of June, 1931,, file with the Purchaser, a
copy of said specifications* together with his offer and proposal to furnish
said equipment or material and emnstract said improvements at the terms
therein fully stated and set forthf and
WHMMSi the said specifications and proposal accurately and fully describe
the terms and condition upon which the Contractor is willing to furnish
the equipment or material and construct the improvements called for by the
said specifications and the manner and time of furnishing =1 cAustrocting
samar.

FIRST � That a copy of said specifications and proposal filed as aforesaid
be attached hereto and that the same do in all particulars become the agree
ment and contract between the parties hereto in all matters and things set
forth therein and described= and, itxrther, that both parties hereby accept
and agree to the terms and conditions of said specifications and proposal so
filed.
SECOND o The specifications and proposal hereto annemd are made a part of
this agreement and contract as fully and absolutely as if herein set out in
haec verba,
