An ordinance providing for the appointment of a Street Commis-
sioner and fixing his salary; eliminating and vacating the office
of a Deputy Street Commissioner, and repealing all ordinances and
parts of ordinances in conflict therewith.
Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana
Section 1. That the Board of Public Works of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, be, and hereby is authorized and empowered to appoint
a Street Commissioner.
Section 2. That the salary of said Street Commissioner shall be
Three Thousand. Two Hundred Thirty (4,�3,230.00) Dollars per year, which
salary shall be paid at such times as other salaries are paid.
Section 3. That the office of a Deputy Street Commissioner be,
and. the same is hereby forthwith eliminated, vacated, and declared
non - existent.
Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
